Lenovo plans to launch a new addition to its ThinkCentre Tiny desktop library in June with the ThinkCentre Chromebox, running Chrome OS.
The desktop is only 7-inches high and 1.4-inches in width and weighs just 2.2 pounds. It's designed to be connected easily to the 23-inch Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One monitor, during the ThinkCentre Chromebox into an all-in-one Chrome OS PC. The desktop can be
equipped with a fifth generation Intel Core processor, along with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 16GB of SSD storage. Lenovo says:
Management and maintenance is simple and efficient, reducing the time required to deploy and minimizing end user downtime, critical in an education environment. A full range of mounting and port expansion accessories for ThinkCentre Chromebox allow users to place it practically anywhere and connect to numerous devices, offering true freedom of deployment. The one litre form factor adds further flexibility by allowing easy transportation from campus to campus or between office locations. Or a user can simply login to another ThinkCentre Chromebox or even a ThinkPad 11e Chromebook at another location and immediately access their cloud-based data and apps.The Lenovo ThinkCentre Chromebox will have a starting price of $199.
